Our Ktaadn Arts Community Calendar is a collection of creative/artistic events and programs happening in the Katahdin region. Do you have an event or program submission that you know is happening in the area? We would be happy to put it in our Ktaadn Arts Community Calendar! Please send us the name, date/time, location, description and any additional information that folks may need to participate. You can email this information to info@KtaadnArtsEducation.org

Join us for a day of painting at the ‘Frederic Church Camp’ on the south shore of Millinocket Lake with a magnificent view of Katahdin. Currently owned by the Woodworth family, Camp Rhodora was owned by famous landscape artist, Frederic Church and his wife, Isabel, in the late 1800’s. Church spent every autumn for the following twenty years finding creative inspiration at Rhodora, often with other artists and writers. REGISTER NOW AT KtaadnArtsEducation.org/PleinAir

DATE: July 18, 8am-6pm
LOCATION: Woodworth Homestead/Camp Rhodora @ 68 Muriel Boulevard, Millinocket ME

‘Meet the Artist’ monthly showcase featuring local artist, Ken Gross! Drawing is a medium that grew naturally out of Ken’s profession: cartography. (Secretly, he thinks that he became that cartographer because what he really wanted to do was to draw) In addition to pen and ink, his repertoire includes block and intaglio printing, and watercolor. Stop in at Ktaadn Arts Education Center (135 Penobscot Avenue, Millinocket, below Designlab) to meet Ken and view his work during the May showcase of our ‘Meet the Artist’ series. Masks optional. Photo by She of The Flowers. FREE entry.

DATE: Saturday, May 28, 4pm-7pm
LOCATION: KAEC @ 135 Penobscot Avenue, Millinocket, below Designlab
